1. What is the Cab Assist Card Scheme?
Cab Assist Card offers subsidised travel in City Cabs licensed taxis to Edinburgh residents who are over the age of 65 or who are current users of Edinburgh Councils Taxi card Scheme.
The card enables members who have difficulty in using buses, trains and trams to get out and about.
The scheme provides trips for social purposes, for example going shopping, visiting friends and family, and going out to events.
The scheme is paid for by City Cabs (Edinburgh) Ltd.
City Cabs (Edinburgh) Limited has been offering a quality taxi service since 1925, although it was incorporated under its present name in 1958. We are one of Edinburgh’s largest co-operative of licensed hackney taxis and are currently operating a fleet of over 440 vehicles, all of which are regulated by the City of Edinburgh Council.
