CityCabs (Edinburgh) Ltd has made a commitment to integrate environmentally sensitive thinking into overall policy and decision making.  We understand the impact that our business has on the environment, and will strive to conduct our operations in an environmentally sustainable manner, in order to protect the environment for future generations.

CityCabs (Edinburgh) Ltd. is demonstrating its commitment to the environment through the implementation of an Environmental Management System.

As a result we have drawn up the following objectives:-

• To not only comply with all relevant environmental legislation, but to exceed current Industry standards and help lead the way with ‘best-practice’.
• Make a commitment to reduce waste by recycling wherever possible.
• Improve energy efficiency in our workplace by reducing resource consumption.
• To strive to develop systems which significantly reduce paper usage.

• To inform our Drivers of ways to reduce their impact on the environment.
• To encourage Drivers to use carbon neutral bio-diesel.
• To initiate a carbon offsetting programme to help reduce our impact on the environment.
• To encourage all Staff, Members and Drivers to consider the environment in all aspects of their work.
• Commitment to environmental issues will be discussed at the highest level of the company.
• We will seek to use suppliers who share our environmental vision.
• We will support any environmental management systems that are put in place by our customers.

CityCabs will strive for continuous improvement in relation to the above objectives and shall periodically measure and evaluate our progress.
